Tropical Champagne

We had a bit of champagne left over from post-race Aperol Spritzes, so I scrolled through Cocktail Virgin Slut and came across the tropical champagne, which charitably reads as half-hurricane, half-mimosa. We like both of those drinks and had all the juices on hand, so it felt like a low-rent way to try something new.

The cocktail was by no means bad, but felt muddled — the dryness of the champagne neutralized the orange juice, and it was hard to piece anything out of the drink besides the passionfruit. It certainly tasted delicious and quaffable, but I also think mimosas and hurricanes are delicious and quaffable and I'd be hard-pressed to pick this chimera over either of the two cocktails individually.
